Deanne Dykstra and Dean Kirkpatrick Wedding Carefree, AZ 3/26/2011

With a whirlwind of emotions and little time for rest, the wedding of the year has finally come and gone. No, I am not talking about the soon-to-be princess of England, no no I am talking about my sister.  Formerly my sister known as Deanne Dykstra has now become Deanne Kirkpatrick. It was quite a challenge helping coordinate my sisters wedding on top of making her wedding cake and groom's cake. For those of you that know me well, there is nothing I love more than a good suprise. With the little extra time I had I chose to make the ever-so-wonderful groom, Dean, a groom's cake. As Dean is an avid Steeler's fan, what would be more appropriate than a Steeler's football helmet to celebrate his union with my sister? So with the clock ticking and the budget dwindling I whipped up my second 3D sculped cake. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it! Oh yeah and here is the wedding cake too :)
